Mummy Rocks
I’m so excited to start on some fall themed rocks…to be more specific, Halloween themed rocks! I have been playing around and plan to give you lots of easy fun ideas.
This mummy rock is so cute and fun to make. I plan to make quite a few of them so that I can plant them around our neighborhood on Halloween while walking with my kiddos.

Step by step instructions for how to draw a mummy with paint pens
You can grab the Posca pens that I used on this painted rock here.
I start with my 5M white posca paint pen to create the basic bandage shapes. Make sure to leave a gap for the eyes.
The whole surface will be mostly white when you are done, but your stroke marks will help you create the lines of your wrap.
Next, take an accent color. I chose yellow in this tutorial but will share a few other colors below. Add your yellow to your wet white paint. Pull the pen in the direction of your bandages.
Follow that with a bit more white.
101 Tip!: You will end up with some of the accent colors on the tips of your white pen. Just doodle it off on a piece of scratch paper.
While your bandages are drying, add white into the gap you left for the eyes. Be careful not to grab any of the colors from the bandages.
Now take a small brush, or a 1M black paint pen if you have one, and start outlining your bandages.
Start with your top bandages and work your way down to create a good layered effect.
Once you have sketched out all of your bandages you can add your eyes. Start with the pupils then create the outer edge circles. Fill in the rest of the space with black and your done!
Try these in any color combination! Check out how they look with pink, gray, & green!
