Step by step instructions for how to paint a cat
You can grab the Posca pens that I used on this painted rock here.
You can create this kitty any color you like. Block out an oval first. Then Draw a body. I used a U shape for a nice slim cat or you could easily do more of a pear or butternut squash shape if you like your cat a bit pudgier.
Next, add your tail. If you tail color matches the body go ahead and draw it right through so it looks like would be connected when you are finished.
Add a couple of triangles to the top of the head for ears. Fill in all the shapes.
Once your base is dry, add pink in the ears and on the nose. Next, add 4 black lines and a few ovals to create the front legs and paws. Now add on your mouth, eyes, and whiskers. Go ahead and add anything else you want here. A ball of yarn, a collar, or even place your kitty on a rug.
Have fun creating your own cat rocks!
